As someone who lives in a place where basically half the year is snow and ice, this is such a beautiful reminder to treasure the miracle of snow. Incredibly writing, as always. ❤️
Really well written - the imagery was spot on and I relived snowy experiences as I read. There truly is something so special about snow. Telling the world to rest and play, and "turning the ordinary into something extraordinary. "
We haven't had snow in South Alabama in many years, and never several inches at a time! This week, the weather forecasters are saying the possibility is there for next week. We won't build an igloo, but we would enjoy the excitement of seeing a few snowflakes fall!
I look forward to reading your posts, Jack! Keep it up!
Jack, this is lovely! You have a gift of bringing us into your world. And by the way, many years ago when I was young, I stepped on the ice on the creek and fell through. Very cold!
Ah the wonders of winter :D yeah we get a lot more snow here where I live (for about five months of winter, sometimes the drifts are five feet deep) but even still, nothing is quite as beautiful as a night full of christmas snow, big fluffy snowflakes falling peacefully down to make the ground and every pine tree pure white.

I live in Michigan where we get up to four feet of snow. I don't stay outside as long as I used to but I still have fun. Great post! 🙌 💖
4 feet is insane!!
Was an exchange student in Michigan.... snow is seriously serious

Great job! I wish you had put the picture of the kids and light inside the igloo. You all did a great job on building it.
Jack, this is beautiful. What a writer you are
