By now, you may be wondering what [for the life of me] even is and what it’s about. So I guess I should probably explain.
Oh, by the way, if you haven’t already, make sure to read my introduction post:
This little newsletter I (possibly spontaneously) created is a little project I’ll be working on while I’m in my teen years. I’ll basically be writing down whatever comes to mind whenever I want to. My posts will mostly be about teen stuff with the occasional post about philosophy and writing. Sometimes they’ll be a paragraph long, sometimes dozens of paragraphs. It all depends on how I feel, which to me is very freeing. Because I’m used to writing about a certain topic on a schedule with a deadline. But with this little memoir, I just . . . write.
But that raises the question: does this newsletter have a topic? (besides my life anyway) The answer is . . . we’ll see. I’ll may get bored of writing about my life and start posting more about philosophy, the general struggles of life, maybe some religion stuff, I don’t really know yet. While that probably makes you think, Why the heck would I want to subscribe to this if you don’t even know what you’ll be writing about?, I just want to say that I created this newsletter for fun. That’s it. I hope I’ll take this little project places and let it evolve, grow, and hopefully find some newsletter niche eventually.
Something I can see you also wondering is why I’m calling this newsletter Teen Memoir1. And since this post is all about explanations, allow me to explain. I heard somewhere that people never write memoirs if they have a good life. Memoirs are always about struggle and hardships and “Look at how I handled life!” When I created this newsletter, that’s what I had in mind. Often, I am depressed and stressed, and tired of life, and I find it helpful to express what I feel using the one talent I’ve been given: the ability to write. So think of this newsletter as my memoir, a collection of written works about how hard life is for everyone and how to feel good about life.
Look, all I want you to know right now is that if you’re a teenager or still feel like one and you’re constantly prone to stress and getting overwhelmed, then we have something in common. Lately, I’ve found it helpful to surround myself with people I can relate to and read about stuff I can relate to. My little memoir newsletter is here if you just want to take a breather and read about how I struggle with life too and that you are never alone in your hardships.
Okay, that’s all folks. I hope you enjoy getting to know me and reading [for the life of me].
Until next time <3
EDIT: I’ve changed my name, as you can probably tell lol
Love it! It's completely fine to not have a specific topic...ur the writer...you can write whatever the heck you want...lol...
