I LOVED this! Based on these 5 things, I'm definitely an introvert 😂. I really liked how you broke down all the different traits. Great post!

Yesss, especially to the small, quiet group of friends. 🥰 I studied this in psychology recently and most introverts spill a lot of depth to people they are very close to—but those people are few and far between because the level of depth and authenticity we want to display requires a lot of energy. Being “real” for us is being “deep”—and you can’t do that for everyone all the time. So we stick with the quiet places! ☺️

My goodness, you write delightfully for being a freshman, Jack! I think you’d like psychology. And if you keep digging deeply into life’s questions, you’ll have a lot of compassion to go with the answers.

You did such a great job explaining the different aspects of being an introvert! I felt very understood reading this post lol. Thanks, Jack!

Loved this post and the insightful thoughts :) Especially, as someone who used to consider herself to be an introvert. Definitely is important to note (like you did) that not everyone fits the normal standard! I get more energy from being around people, but I'm not the "typical extrovert" since I'm pretty socially awkward and shy at first. And I know plenty of introverts (many of which are my close friends) who are great at talking to others and have no problem with it a lot of the time. They just need time alone for their energy. Awesome post!!!! :)

Me too. I thought I was the only one not the typical extrovert but not a typical introvert either.

I think we all could learn to take time on our own to refresh, intro or extroverted! Jesus did, went to spend time in lonely places to be alone with his father, and was able to minister to thousands and thousands. Even he needed to tune back in and have one on one time with God. It always inspired me! And, speaking of Jesus, we all know he had 12 disciples, and that 3 were the closest (peter james and john)...and now studies have realised that the perfect number of people to interact with as friends is 12, and for close friends...3! So it's really cool to see that, too. A lot of times phycology is just us catching up with God! XD

It’s so odd how this list defined most of what I enjoy but my introvert identifying friends would say I am an extrovert.

For myself, I have chosen to identify as neither. It does not help me make friends, as I would tend to feel as if I don’t need to “get to know” that person if they have labeled themselves to me, nor does it help me to be the free changing, free sanctified person Jesus wants me to be. I fully understand, however, why people like to identify themselves and others and it doesn’t bother me.

Psychology is very fascinating but sometimes too much knowledge pushes out simple, friendly love.

Enjoyed the post, Jack. Thanks for studying and writing it out.

There's always the option of "ambivert" if you feel like you identify with both extrovert and introvert personality types ;)

The only thing that does not apply to me is that socializing does not completely exhaust me; I still dread it before, but I usually enjoy once the ice breaks. Loved the paragraph breaks design. ❤️ In addition, I believe I struggle with concentration; I typically write one line and then spend an afternoon reading a whole book. Ha ha!!! Am I the only one?????
